They are found in stockings, sportswear, cushions, bags, automobile parts, and many other everyday products. <br \/>\n  Polyurethane is used in a wide variety of applications, but here, we focus on its use in clothing.<br \/>\n  Polyurethane fibers are elastic, allowing them to stretch and return to their original shape, similar to rubber. However, polyurethane is more elastic than rubber, and is lighter in weight.  When combined with other common fibers, these properties result in stockings that are easy to move in, fit well and look attractive. Polyurethane is also essential to sportswear, where ease of movement is a must.<br \/>\n  Recently, elasticity has been added to all types of clothing, from jeans to suits. PTG is an key component of spandex, and it is no exaggeration to say that its widespread popularity today is largely due to PTG.<br \/>PTG provides polyurethane and polyester materials with flexibility, elasticity, durability and other functions. It is a raw material for a wide range of products, from clothing and outdoor gear to automobile parts and other industrial applications. PTG has been successfully utilized in plastic lenses, optical fiber coatings, and other advanced applications. We are actively exploring new applications.<br \/>\n  In addition, Hodogaya Chemical was the first company in Japan to develop and sell &#8220;Bio-PTG&#8221;, which is made primarily from plant-derived raw materials and has been in use for over 10 years.
